| Raw eggs and shells My Daughter came over and broke an egg in the dogs bowl with the shells and said this is great for them. She said that people who feed raw, feed eggs and the shell. Is this true...They ate the whole thing..I hope we dont have issues tonight.... |

| Raw feeders do feed raw egg but, because of the risk of salmonella, it really isn't a good idea for dogs with compromised immune systems to eat any kind of raw meat/eggs. Cooked egg shells are sometimes used as calcium in homecooked diets. I wouldn't be too worried if your dogs are healthy but I also wouldn't do it again until you thoroughly research the raw diet and see if that is something you are comfortable with.
