| I usually soak up the urine with a paper towel first. Then I have a spray bottle with water/vinegar(50/50) mixture. Then I spay to completely cover area, let soak for a few minutes, and soak up with a towel really well.

I need to fix some of this up. Our puppies are 3 1/2 weeks old and they are starting to get out more & more and of course the rug in the living room is really taking a beating. I have the puppy pads in front of the crate when they first come out and most of the time they use it there but, they will anywhere else they happen to be. Thanks for the tip. Sheila | |

| We use vinegar. I try to soak up all I can, and then put a little straight vinegar directly on it, and spray a 50/50 vinegar/water mix on it, let that soak in, and clean it up with a towel. I do the straight vinegar first to get the smell out of the carpet pad and concrete; since it's more concentrated and has a longer way to go it seems to work better.
