| Calling All Yorkie Experts !!! As I first time Yorkie owner I am SO curious about Otis' development. I have searched the web to learn more about development... but I am finding that the info I want/need is a little different. Is there some "development chart" that ya'll know about that would look something like this : 4 months : a little learning sponge ! 5 months : getting rebellious... hair is changing... 6 months : don't give up ! He won't run around like a crazy boy for 3 hours straight forever !! 7 months : "the teenage years"... get ready for hell... Obviously I just made that up !! But it could be true.....My "assignment" for ya'll is : Can YOU give me a down and dirty personality development of yer little ones that might help me out ??? I would love it !!! |

| Wish I could help you but I think that it depends on the yorkie. I have two boys, one month apart in age, got them within a week of each other and two more totally different pups you could not find. Gar is loving, affectionate, hyper, refuses to perform, etc. Benni lives to please, yet is independent, does not like to cuddle as much, no where near as affectionate, yet has a crazy personality. I think again that each one has such different characteristics that it is impossible to have a "development chart" on any of them. Not only do all yorkies look different (ears up/down, range in color from black and gold, to all gold, to platinum to silver, size anywhere from 1 pound to 20), but they all have different personalities. |

| MomofOtis, I love your avatar pic! What a little cutie! As MilliC said, each yorkie is so different. All the milestones you list in your chart are things that Bo still does. And he's 9 1/2 months old!! He's smart as a whip. He's extremely demanding and very bratty. He won't stand still when I'm trying to catch him, we play this little capsule version of OJ's slow speed chase. He terriorizes (misspelling intentional!) our 8 year old Schnauzer. And he requires at least one zoom/zoom run around the living room and dining room each day. It's seems to be some sort of gleeful romp that he has to get out of his system *rolls eyes and shakes head*! And we all are head over heals in love with him and wouldn't have it any other way (well, I would like to be able to catch the little bugger!) So, all I can say is welcome to YT, strap yourself in and enjoy the ride of your life!!!

| Tee-Hee... they are crazy little ones aren't they ??!! It 's just good to hear that Otis is "normal" whatever that is ! It is funny to watch him got the night time crazzzzies... it just seems like lately it goes on for 2 or three hours with no signs of stopping ... then it does and he curls up in my lap for a much needed nap. |
