| Two sisters...always play fighting. Or is it play? My Strawberry is sweet as pie and kinda playful when it is just the two of us. Ditto with her sister, Peachu, and my mom. But when we get them together they play fight. Which...I assume is normal for puppies. However, how do you know is they are having fun or if it is turning too aggressive? Also...when will they settle down and stop this behavior? I have this fear that they hate each other and we just assume they are playing and it won't stop...even into adulthood. They see each other almost everyday, but sleep at separate homes. Any tips or insight would be really appreciated!

| I've wondered the same thing about my dogs! My yorkie and golden play fight too and a few times I thought maybe they really weren't playing! Then I read another persons post who said you definetly will be able to tell if they were not playing. I think the dogs just play that way. |

| How do you know for sure though? They growl and bar their teeth and chase each other and bite each others tails, etc...and it just goes on and on! It seems kind rough. And when you try to break it up it makes them fight harder. I am worried it is am dominance thing. I guess they do eventually stop after they tire out, but it seems like they should be calming down now when they get together. They are 5 months old and it is not like it is new to them to get to visit each other. I just want to make sure I am not letting them get away with bad behavior that I will be sorry for later. I would like them to be friends, not competition. Which, they are at this moment. They both have identical chewies, but each one wants what the other has. It is so annoying! Haha! They tattle on each other too. Haha!

| They are probably just playing, especially if there are any "play bows" invovled in the dogs' body language. However, if you think the situation is getting too rough, you can always use the technique you would use if your dog was mouthing you and you didn't like it. Let out a high-pitched yelping noise (Yike!) to startle them. Each will assume the other has been hurt, and it will teach them to keep their play-fighting cordial and prevent any injuries. |

| Play bow? Like, front down, bum up...stare...and pounce? Ya... they do that. That is play? When one yelps the other lets go.

| If one of my dogs yelp mine stop too. I think that is the best way you can tell, if they stop when the other one yelps it's like their saying "OOPS...sorry about that". LOL |
