First of all, Congragulations! on your new baby!!! The pictures are absolutly adorable!!!! Don't feel too badly about your first week. I ordered my Dixie from the same breeder I got my two Bichon Frise sisters from 8 yrs ago and when I drove down to NC in June to get her I was so prepared for her. What I did not expect was that my twin daughters wanted one also and I told them they would have to talk with the breeder knowing most of his puppies were ordered way in advance like I had her. Well he had two little males left from a litter born two weeks after my Dixie. So they purchased him. So we came home with two and did not regret it. Oh we had our little "heart-stopping episodes" with them also. They are such babies. In August we saw a ad on Craigs List for a pure bred yorkie and so we called. A family purchased this little pure-bred from a pet store and did everything right for the little male dog, shots, neutering etc. He was only 10 months old. They had two small children, both worked and did not have time for a little dog, did not know much about dogs and then when the husband lost his job, his line to the wife was get "rid" of the dog. She really loved this wonderful little dog and after conversing with her for about a week she bought the dog to us and while we were prepared to pay her whatever she wanted for the dog she gave him to us with papers. She had never registered him or got his microchip registered. She originally paid $1000.00 for him. I don't know how she could give up such a wonderful little dog but we are so lucky to have him. He is the best. Just about five months older than Dixie and Teddy. They all get along wonderfully. They sleep, eat, and play together all day. He is so happy here, we have a large fenced in yard and he plays all day with the other two. Where he came from was a townhome with only sidewalks for walking. So we became a family of three yorkies and while we have had out little "heart-stopping" episodes, we would not have it any other way. It is really like having babies all over again. My three children are all grown now, my twin daughters will be 20 in a couple of days, work all day and go to nursing school in the evenings. My son is 17 and these 3 little yorkies are my new kids. They require spoiling and watching carefully just like my 3 kids did. I love it! I never figured my "grandchildren" would be four-leggers but I Love It! Good Luck with your little baby. I watch mine all the time! I will problely never be able to go on vacation to the beach again in my life, I would not be able to be away from them for a few hours let alone for a week at the beach. Let us know how your little one does!
