| Twinkle goes into her crate when I'm going* out somewhere that I can't take her with me...I'm lucky that I work from home so its normally for only an hour, two at the most. She has her bed, cuddly toy and water in there. She's sleeps in her crate at night so she's used to it, and during the day the crate door is open and its the first place she goes to for a nap. I decided on a crate for Twinkle because I have two young children, and I felt it was important for her to have a place that was just hers. The kids know that when she's in there she doesnt want to play or cuddle - it's her own space and they dont encroach on it xx xxx

| My girls are both still young puppies (7 months and 3 months) so each has her own Xpen with food, water, potty pad and safe toys for when I am not home or unable to supervise. One pen is in the kitchen and one is in the living room but both are in eyesight of each other's pens. I still don't pen them together because of their size difference and age. So far it has worked out well. I know there will probably be a day when one or the other greets me at the door but by then I hope they will be mature enough to have more freedom when I am gone. When I am home they have free reign of the house unless I am trying to clean the floors!! |

| Fiona is in her crate when I'm not home. She does very well in there, and does not pee/poop in there. I just take her out in the am, and then as soon as i get home, she does her business.

| If it is really cold or hot my 3 that are a year and less get crated. If it is nice I have a 6 x 8 dog run in the garage with their doggy beds, food and water, toys and their "dog box". The dog box is a tray you usually put under your washing machine and I put peagravel in it. I figured since we have a huge peagreavel section in the yard they like to go on it might work and was really happy when they used it right away. I just have to pick up the poop and when it needs it dump the old gravel, wash the tray out and put new gravel in from my yard. I am usually home, but when I am not I don't feel as guilty when they are in the run, and they get excited when I let them use it. It doesn't work all year round, but in California where I live we have smaller temperature variations so it is an nice alternative. |

| I used to leave Sapphire in a crate, now she is free in the kitchen. It's gated and she doesn't seem to go at all while we're gone.

| Izze stays in my bedroom with my Molly. She has issues with crates and she has separation anxiety---so having Molly with her helps. Molly likes a break from the other two... Suzie stays in the crate because I don't trust her---she is 2 years old and she still has accidents and I don't think that she'll ever be 100% potty trained. I also don't trust her alone with Izze... so she gets crated in an extra large crate with water and cushions with Chachi--my chi. Poor him. He has perfect manners and belongs with the other two---but we can't leave Suzie alone.
