Hello everyone =) I'm new here! My name is Lacey, and I'm 22. I'm Married to a Navy man, and we have a beautiful 4 year old daughter. She however is terrified of large dogs, and loves smaller dogs. our chi (reesie) crawl in her bed at night and sleep on her pillow with her. It's really cute!! - I first fell in love with yorkies when our neighbor brought home a 10 week old yorkie and he was so loveing and sweet. My chi loved playing with him, its really to bad we're moving, So we've decided to find a sweety yorkie so our baby reesie has a playmate at home again.
I found this site while searching for yorkies for sale, Every single person i contacted that seemed legit, wasn't and was just trying to scam me. Searching for Yorkies Seems so much harder than chihuahuas lol... I've found both chihuahuas i've bought from people online, whom i've then met in person to purchase. but man oh man, EVERY single person whom i've talked to has asked me to send money via western union, and wouldn't send me pictures of the pups, or says i cannot pick up in person. =( Its so sad that people do this!!
ok anyways!!! I refuse to buy from puppy stores. So I'm here asking for a little bit of help =) from anyone who can point me in the right direction to breeders whom you have bought from, or people that are legit and arnt going to try to rip me off. We currently live in Pensacola Florida atm, but are PCSing to Fort Meade Maryland Near the end of November. So if you know a breeder in the areas or around the areas on the way up to Maryland Please share =) lol.
Its Very nice meeting you all, and i've looked at so many pictures on this site, all your babies are soooo cute!! I just wana give them all kisses =)

You could look in the For Sale section of the forum and see if there are any pups available that would be near you and also check out the Breeders Review section for some helpful advice about good and bad breeders.

Welcome! Buying off of the internet is a crapshoot. There are some good breeders yes but there are also scammers and bad breeders that hide behind fancy websites. The best thing you can do is find a breeder that you can drive to their house and see where the pup is coming from. I am sorry you are having such a difficult time

Hi Lacey and welcome to YT!!! Did I understand you correctly.....did you use information on YT.....to find breeders and ALL of them were not reputable either?? ....I'm sorry that you are having such a hard time...I got my babies from MO....that is too far from you....hope someone can help you soon....to find the perfect baby for your family. Hi Lacey,
I'm about 45 mins from you in Southern MD. Welcome to YT! Yes-you have to be sooo careful with buying online..Good thing you didn't send any money...If they only except western union, plus won't let you come see the pups, that's a good indication of a scam... a lot of people get so caught up in the excitement of getting the puppy, they send money without more research. As someone stated before, check out the yorkies for sale section here. There are plenty of reputable breeders on YT. You can also check the YTCA to find reputable breeders in driving distance.

Oh no no no, i havn't contacted anyone at this website yet. it was other sites i had found that were scammers =(

Hi Lacey! Welcome! I just recently (2 days ago) brought home my little baby Molly.
I looked up Ft. Meade and saw that it is between DC and Baltimore, MD.
I live in the southern end of Lancaster County, PA which is about an hour from DC. If you are willing to travel into PA, I can give you the name of the breeder I went to. She is located in Ephrata, PA. She breeds only Yorkies and Shiba Inus. She does live on a large working farm, and, no, they are not Amish and they are licensed registered. They are not a puppy mill. Nor does she charge exorbitant prices.
Let me know.
