| How Long Does Your Yorkie Sleep~? Yesterday, there was a lot of activity around here so he was up pretty much thru the day. Usually, he takes naps off and on. So yesterday, he slept 12 hours. Now I just peeked to see where he's at, and he's in bed again...so how long does Yorkie sleep~? Also, is it normal for Yorkies or dogs in general to sleep long hours~? |

| I think it just depends on how much action is going on. I know if there is anything going on or people around besides me Lucky stays up longer. If it is just me and him he usually sleeps quite a bit. I think I bore him sometimes. hehehe..

| When I take Maximus out to my aunts to play w/her 3 chis all day, the next day he will sleep almost all day. He also crashes out 2 seconds after getting in the car. I have found on the weekends he sleeps a lot during the day and is more active at night. I think it's b/c during the week we work and then after 5 pm, he's ready to play and go for a walk b/c we are home.

| Bailey will sleep quite a bit, especially if it's just the two of us at home, unless it's nice outside and I let her go into the backyard to play. But, at about 9:30 every night, she curls up beside me on the couch and goes to sleep. She has decided that that is her bedtime, and when I pick her up to put her to bed, she doesn't even wake up.

| Daizy is usually ready to go to bed around 10:00 p.m. If I'm not in bed she follows me around ...and looks at me....I guess she's trying to "will" me to bed....lol then she will sleep in as long as I do....some days it's NOON...I have insomnia...so getting to sleep is hard alot of the time...and she will usually nap several times during the day.. I think it's very normal for yorkies to sleep alot...esp. if they had alot going on!! I wouldn't worry.

I guess I only get alerted if they are eating and drinking and eliminating when they do get up. Otherwise I don't keep track of their play time unless it is with me.

| Little conor doesnt sleep for long overnight, he is quite restless. I hear him wondering about and scratching his bed about making it more comfy. Wouldnt mind but he has a cosy blanket on top of his comfy dog bed. Because he sleeps in my bedroom I am concious of him being restless. Id like to put him in the kitchen as he does wee's because of his weak bladder, but because he's deaf and impaired eyesight, I just couldnt do it. |

| I think Abby would sleep 'round the clock, if I did. Well, Daisy too, but she's much more active than Abby. Abby is the puppy too! I find it odd that a 2.5 yr old is more active than a 9 month old. Abby is perfectly healthy, she's just happy to be in bed. I think she's just a flexible dog! If I want to play, she plays, if I want to sleep, she sleeps... To answer your question, she slept about 11 hrs last night, only getting up once for a potty break.

| Duke sleeps through most of the night with me and while I'm at work 9-5. I found out that while he stayed with my mom during the day, she can call him and temp him with food - he wouldn't even come out of bed, he is used to his sleeping pattern while I'm at work. I think it's normal once they are used to it. He knows that when I get home, we play and walk.

| My little scarlet goes to bed around 9:00pm, and has me up every morning at 7:15 sharp. I dont know why she wakes up so early, maybe its to play with my cat. My cat comes in the bedroom in the morning and I think she just gets excited that its play time. LOL! They love eachother so much. Its the cutest thing ever, next to her of course! |

My baby sleeps through the entire night. He is mostly on my schedule. He also takes a few naps during the day. If goes an entire day without a nap cause we are really busy then he will sleep more the next day. When I take him to the kennel for a few days he comes home exhausted and sleeps for a few days.
