| Water at night time Do you all leave water out all day? Gracie drinks all day and then has to go out to pee pee during the night. I want to take it up but don't know if I should or if I should, what time should I take it away from her? do any of you have this problem?

| This is a bit of a tricky one. When they're tiny, I leave them water 24/7. As they grow up, if you're having problems with them peeing at night, you can take the water up at about 6pm. Good luck. CJ |

| I leave water out 24/7 for my dog. But she is trained to use the wee wee pads. You can train her to use the pads and to go outside as well. Put down the pad at night and teach her to go on it. |

| Leaving water down I have to leave water down all the time, I live in the south, yesterday it was 96 degrees. Even though they are all in my house- we take several trips a day to go out and play and do their potty business- they are in ten minutes trips about every hour to hour and half, (early mornings and late evening we stay out longer) so I understand what you are going through. But with the heat here I don't see no other solution for me. I know some other members will be able to send you in the right direction.

| When Deegan was younger I would take the water away from him an hour before bed time. I think taking it away at 6 or 7 is too early, what if you go for a walk or play and they work up a thirst. You don't want to be dying of thirst. So I let him out, and take away the water. Let him out in half an hour again, and then one last time before bedtime. That should be good for him. Give it a try.

Yorkie Lover Donating Member | We leave the water out all the time...as the girls got older they learned to hold their bladders during the night...I live in Texas and it is always hot so I don't want the girls to get to thirsty...but I do know that my brother does pick up the water for his new puppy so she doesn't pee during the night and she does fine!! I think it all depends on you and your enviornment!!!

| I leave the water out all the time. I am a stay home mom so we go for potty brakes about every 2 to 3 hours. He may not have to go, but he does his marking here and there throughout the yard. Depending on his activity,,, he really doesn't drink all that much. He likes drinking water from our cups better then from his own bowl.

| I leave water out all the time. If you are having troubles I would take it up at night.

| Before Stomper was potty trained, I would take the water away at 7 PM (suggested to me from a trainer). Now that he is potty trained, he does get it until bed time. However, I usually watch him since after 9:30 or so I don't want him to fill up.
