| Brushing Teeth I don't have an issue brushing his top teeth, but I do on the bottom. He doesn't let me at all. I can get the top portion of the bottom but never the front or back. Any suggestions will be appreciated. |

| That's really odd that he would let you brush the top but not the bottom. Some Yorkies won't let you brush at all. Princess lets me, I started when I first got her. Maybe his vet should check his teeth to make sure there OK.

| Some of his bottom teeth are growing together, but I hope it isn't that issue. He has no chewing problems at all~! I refused to have surgery on him with his teeth~! |

| It's Getting Better.... He's letting me brush his bottom row of teeth today. Maybe, it is a slow process~? I recently got some sponge brushes and a dental cleanser from Foster & Smith. He's not fond of that, then again anything new he's very leary of for a while....even treats. Any of you all have the same issues as I do~? |

how old is your baby?? sounds like he has some baby teeth that hasn't fallen out...it will cause problems later in his life if you don't get them pulled. Most vets pull baby teeth when you get your baby neutered... Have you had that done yet??

| The easiest way to "brush" is to wrap a some gauze around your index finger and use your finger to "brush" the teeth, top, bottom, inside and out. You can literally feel all the teeth. Do this with a dry piece of gauze - toothpaste is not necessary. It works great and works even with tiny mouths!!!

Maxwell is one year old. He does have some double teeth growing in, but I have never had them pulled. Nor did I have him neutered. Why does that make a difference with brushing his teeth~? | |

Ellie doesn't like one side of her mouth brushed either on the bottom. I just do the best I can and to get the outside of the bottoms I stick the brush in the side (their mouth can be pretty much closed for this) and do circles. It gets the outsides of the top and bottom teeth.
