| Bad hair cut at groomers This is my first time posting on this site. Normally I will read other Yorkie lovers questions and advise. I am sooo hurt right now about the hair cut my 9 month yorkie received on yesterday. She had beautiful long silky hair. The only problem was she never liked the top knot. She will continue to try to take it out. I ask the groomer if she could trim her hair so it would not be in her face. I still wanted the top know but I wanted it to be in middle instead of toward her face. I wanted her hair to be layered in a way that if she take out the top knot it wouldn't fall in her face. She said she understood. When we got her back I was surprise to see all of her hair chop off and the hair around her ears gone. I could have cried. I don't know what to do. The damage is already done and I don't know where to go from here. Now I'm wondering how long will it take for Diva's hair to grow back. |

also, i stay there the entire time milu is at the groomers, because i need to make sure she is ok. a lot of times your pets get hurt at the groomers, and they can't tell you about it...i don't think the groomers are being mean on purpose, i just think they have a lot of dogs to groom. i know it's sad that your puppy's hair is not what you wanted, but it WILL grow back, so that's the good thing. it will just take some time. be patient

Donating YT 30K Club Member | Sorry about your bad experience. My Pixie has real silky hair and I do not keep her in a topnot because when I got her at 13 months the breeder had cut it off and she has a cute little spiked look going on that my husband loves. But her hair grows out very quickly on top so I trim it every 2 weeks, so hopefully your baby's hair will grow back fast. I am taking Roxie my 1 year old for her first grooming ever Tuesday and I am nervous but this lady has done a good job on Cali before. I try and groom myself mostly but it is nice to get them professionally done once in awhile.

| Sorry about the bad experience, I can't imagine how upset it probably was. My yorkies hair is pretty short right now and I'm just dying for it to grow longer so I can put some cute clips in! |

| Sorry that you had a bad experience. I had a similar experience the last time I took Hot Rod in. I wanted his face trimmed just a little since his hair was just about long enough to pull out of his eyes when I put it up. Well, they trimmed the hair around his eyes and top of his nose. It's been since July and his hair is almost back to where it was before so hopefully soon I will be able to pull it all up into a topknot. The good thing is that it will grow back.
