| Ugh, I don't know what to doooooo! I keep going back and forth. I fell in love w/ a puppy over the weekend, and I want to get her! She actually is very laid back, like one of you mentioned would be good, so maybe that's a sign it's meant to be? I think it's smarter for me to just have 2, but I think having 3 would make me happier?

| 3 is harder than 2 and 4 is harder than 3 and 5 is harder then 4 Seriously, you really want to think about it and weigh out all the factors involved. Can you afford the vet expenses, do you have the time for all three? For the training? What will you do if two get sick at the same time? Or one gets sic and you are training a puppy. Will they all fit in your lifestyle? What will you do if you go on vacations? Or have an emergency? Another consideration is the ages of the ones you have. What if two don't get along? Will you work with them? Think ahead to all the possibilities, it is really easy to just go with your heart when you fall in love with a puppy, but you have to be prepared to handle however many you have, to raise them and love and care for their lifetime

| I have three dogs and a cat. It is a lot of work, and a lot of money, but I don't think the third dog was a huge change. I had the hardest time adjusting to two dogs from one, but much less adjusting to the third. Only you can make this decision. Your living situation may be important to consider though. If you own and won't be moving then it's no big deal. But, if you rent, most places have a two dog limit. Also consider vet, grooming, and boarding costs.

| 3 Yorkie's now/used to have 5! At one time I had 5, 2 Parents and their 3 puppies I kept them for 20 wks. Now I have 3 the 2 Parents and their Daughter, they are a "Family" so their Relationship w/each other is different they never fight and they are NOT at all jealous of each other so I don't have any problems. They are very loving and affectionate. The only time it seems like alot of work is on "Bath Day" bathing, blow drying, brushing, nail clipping etc. When I do their Daily Grooming Routine in the mornings; brushing their Teeth and washing their eyes out. Luckily they are very Healthy and their Vet. bills have only been their "Annual Shots" and monthly "Hartgard" medication. I have been blessed that they are NOT Accident prone! It only gets expensive when you buy 3 Louis Vuitton Dog Leashes or 3 Coach Dog Sweaters or a Dog Toy that costs $10.00 is really $30.00 b/c I have to buy 3 instead of 1? I don't have any Kids or any other Pets so my 3 are everything to Me. I also think it's Healthier for them to interact w/each other it keeps them from being "Spoiled Rotten" I think it keeps them Balanced? They have to work for my Attention?

| OMG...all these dogs are break-your-heart adorable! I look at the avatars and attachments, and they are all so darling. It makes you want to be surrounded by Yorkies up to your lips so you can just kiss and kiss! I have to be practical. I have two and I worry about every little thing; Scooter has funny warty things that the doctor said are nothing to worry about; I just noticed Jilly has some kind of squishy lip on her under-belly. She was recently spayed but I don't think it's because of that. Off to the vet with her this week. Scooter likes to get dressed up. She likes to have her picture taken, too. Jilly not so much. They have a ton of toys but Scooter doesn't play with them much. Jilly thinks they're all hers. Last edited by York-a-lator; 10-22-2008 at 04:23 PM. |
