I have three dogs and a cat. It is a lot of work, and a lot of money, but I don't think the third dog was a huge change. I had the hardest time adjusting to two dogs from one, but much less adjusting to the third. Only you can make this decision. Your living situation may be important to consider though. If you own and won't be moving then it's no big deal. But, if you rent, most places have a two dog limit. Also consider vet, grooming, and boarding costs.
