| Help~excessive barking and want to litterbox train Hi Everyone! We rescued a three-year-old while in California a week ago. She's adjusted to Texas and feels responsible for the safety of our home. She barks too much , especially in the middle of the night. Also, does anyone know how to litterbox train a Yorkie? Cali, Daddy, and I would be so grateful!!! Thanks, Cali's Mom |

| one of the things that i was taught to stop dogs barking is to train them to bark on command. when ever the dog is barking, you can use a command word, like "speak" or whatever, and praise her for barking, and use another word like "quiet" or anything you like, when the dog stops barking, and give her a treat for it. this way, the dog understands exactly what you want her to do. hope this helps.
