one of the things that i was taught to stop dogs barking is to train them to bark on command. when ever the dog is barking, you can use a command word, like "speak" or whatever, and praise her for barking, and use another word like "quiet" or anything you like, when the dog stops barking, and give her a treat for it.
this way, the dog understands exactly what you want her to do.
