Running in place...lol (just wanted to share my cute story) It's always so cute to me to watch Sasha scramble to get her footing when she is on hardwood floors, or any other hard surface. We play fetch with her in the house and when the ball rolls into the kitchen, she takes a few seconds to come back, even though her little feet are going a mile a minute. Last night Sasha and I walked into a pet boutique that has beautiful hardwood floors. There was another slightly bigger, male yorkie standing there with his owner on a leash as well. As soon as he and Sasha saw each other they both started trying to run towards the other but they couldn't get to each other! It was SO funny to watch them peddle their paws as fast as they could but staying right in the same place! If their feet were made of rubber there would have been smoke for sure. The store must have just polished the floor because this went on for a few seconds. When they finally met all they did was sniff, kiss, and wiggle around with their tails wagging feverishly. Max's (the male yorkie) owner and I could not laughing at them. It was such a joy to watch. When they left, she said "say goodbye to your girlfriend Max" and then Sasha tried to go after him again. It was as if they were long lost lovers. I wish I could have gotten a video of it.

My house is nearly all tile or laminate ... the only room left with carpet is my bedroom, and that will be replaced as soon as I can afford it . But that means I have a long tiled hallway. When we play "fetch", they go tearing down the hall after the ball, and whoever gets there first tries desperately to get back to me with the ball before someone else tries to steal it from them. And yep! nothing but skidding "tires" as they try to get traction . One of the other things I've noticed: there's a bathroom at the end of the hallway. The male will go down and test the door to see if it's latched or not. If it is, he goes to the end of the hall, runs down, and about halfway to the end, lies down on his side and SLIDES to the end (like the baseball players do!). He thumps into the closed door and starts it all over again. He won't do it if the door isn't secure ... I guess he doesn't like the bump over the threshold and slamming into the bathroom . He looks like a doggie bowling ball!!! It's the funniest thing to watch. These little dogs are so entertaining !

OMG that is hilarious! And how smart is he to check to make sure the door is latched first. Thanks for sharing that
