My house is nearly all tile or laminate ... the only room left with carpet is my bedroom, and that will be replaced as soon as I can afford it . But that means I have a long tiled hallway. When we play "fetch", they go tearing down the hall after the ball, and whoever gets there first tries desperately to get back to me with the ball before someone else tries to steal it from them. And yep! nothing but skidding "tires" as they try to get traction .

One of the other things I've noticed: there's a bathroom at the end of the hallway. The male will go down and test the door to see if it's latched or not. If it is, he goes to the end of the hall, runs down, and about halfway to the end, lies down on his side and SLIDES to the end (like the baseball players do!). He thumps into the closed door and starts it all over again. He won't do it if the door isn't secure ... I guess he doesn't like the bump over the threshold and slamming into the bathroom . He looks like a doggie bowling ball!!!

It's the funniest thing to watch. These little dogs are so entertaining !
