| Yorkie Mix (With What?) Hello guys! I'm new here. I've wanted a Yorkie or Yorkie mix for a long time and I opted to get a little guy from a shelter and I'll be picking him up on Saturday. He's about 10 weeks old and I've attached the picture I've received of him. They say that since he's a rescue pup, they're not sure if he's purebred or a mix because his hair isn't quite curly enough. They know the mom, however, is a yorkie, but they don't know about the dad. That's fine though, because I'm not looking to breed him and he's still a cutie. But what do you guys think he's mixed with (if anything)? I'm not quite sure. She says he's a little over 1.5lbs right now although in the pic he looks bigger than that to me, but I guess it could be deceiving. Thanks for your help! |

I ♥ Joey & Ralphie! Donating Member | Oh lucky you he is so adorable, the ears and eyes look a little like a Maltese, and that coloring is so beautiful. I'm not sure what they meant by "his hair isn't quite curly enough," yorkies aren't meant to have curly hair, some do, but standard calls for straight. What a little darling. Congratulations!

| Thank you everyone for your responses and help. I can definitely see the Maltese in the ears so that could be it. To bchgirl, I am having the hardest time deciding on the name, and my husband for some reason wants a say! Silly him! lol J/K I kind of think I'm not going to fully decide until I pick him up and get a feel a little more for his personality but my top choices right now are: - Toby (I love this one but my husband doesn't and I guess we should agree =P) - Danger (we're leaning the most towards this one) - Ozzie - Willie |

I love the name Toby, didn't your husband see the movie Toby Tyler? I loved that kid. Toby Tyler, or Ten Weeks With a Circus DVD Review. I didn't think of that name, and I don't think many people have used it, but I really love it.
