I am getting excited too!!! I will pay up this week. Is there a limit on how many yorkies we bring?

I so want to come to this My Kiara will only be 15 weeks old and we would be driving 6 hours. i think it would be to much on such a little one.

what do you guys think?

I wouldn't be worried about the car ride. With plenty of stops, I'm sure she would do great. I would check to make sure she had all of her shots before the meetup as most puppies finish up around 16 weeks...

We would love to meet you both!

I AM EXCITED!

I can't wait to meet everyone, and as I'm not bringing my babies

I will have two free hands to help anyone with a yorkie or two.

That is of course when I am not hugging someone! LOL!

Hey guys! Here is the link to the new Canine Cruise website. I just emailed them to ask about the 1 dog per person rule and to find out if we could get any kind of group discount. I'll let you know as soon as they email me back!

I also wanted to post the info I got from Hotel Monaco on the Thursday evening Doggie Yappy Hour. Make sure ya'll take a look at the rules. I wouldn't want anyone to miss out on the fun because they forgot to bring their rabies tag....

Doggie Happy Hour

From April through October, join us for our world-famous Doggie Happy Hour. Every Tuesday and Thursday, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., we let the dogs hold court (in the courtyard, no less) with complimentary doggie treats and fresh water for all our canine friends, guests and locals alike, making this a truly pet-friendly hotel. And with refreshments available from Jackson 20 for our human guests, it makes for a fun gathering for all.

We do have a few Doggie Happy Hour Rules that we kindly ask you to observe when joining us:

All dogs must be monitored and on a 6-foot leash at all times
Dogs are not allowed inside the bar area
Dogs are asked to keep their paws off the tables and chairs
Each attendee is responsible for cleaning up after their dog
Each attendee can bring a maximum of two (2) dogs; additional dogs require separate handlers
Each dog must carry a current Rabies tag.
Any incidents of dogs fighting, biting another dog or person will be reported to the Alexandria Board of Health and Animal Control.
Dogs not behaving within the rules here will be asked to leave.

I have been thinking about coming, but have a question for you. Would it be ok for me to attend the conference, but stay at another location?? My brother lives 10 minutes from the conference. I know I would have to pay the registration fee, but I'm guessing I would not be entitled to the welcome gifts. Anything else I would be missing out on if I didn't stay at the Sheraton??

There are 4 of us campers that will not be at the hotel and will drive to all events.. so you can stay where ever you like.. just get the info of what is happening.. anne

Anne is right. A bunch of us are staying in an RV park nearby. That does not prevent you from recieving a welcome gift. You are paying for the meetup activities, not the hotel.

We would love to have you at the hotel.

However you are welcome to attend the meetup no matter where you stay. There is a human/yorkie welcome gift that the Sheraton is providing per guest room that you would not receive if you were not a hotel guest. You would still receive a goody bag that the meetup team is creating as part of your registration.

Hope you can make it because we would love to meet you!

I live in the area and my Yorkie and Friends Group are attending and traveling from their homes each day. Also, many of the members want to know what activities are planned for Friday and Saturday. They feel the price point is very expensive for a two-day event. I am going to be one of the vendors on Saturday.
