| Just make sure it has live cultures. I give Lady Dannon lowfat. Activia also makes a plain yogurt. |

YT Addict | I had asked on another thread about my Yorkie's ears and why they kept on going up and flopping down and I someone suggested yogurt because it was a good source of calcium.

| Yogurt is good for keeping a healthy balance of "good" bacteria in the gut. It helps with digestion. Cottage cheese is a good source of both calcium and protein. It's excellent for liver compromised dogs. |

| My vet recently told me that yogurt (plain or vanilla) can be given to dogs/pups (about a teaspoon) to firm up their stool.

I ♥ Joey & Ralphie! Donating Member | Don't use the fruit flavored ones; they contain too much sugar, and don't use the "sugar free" one's because they contain a sugar substitute that is harmful. Yogurt is especially useful, if you dog has ever been on antibiotics to restore beneficial bacteria, like Ladymom said, look for the ones that say "contain live cultures" and are lowfat.
