| i feed both of my dogs Royal Canin #33. They're both doing great on it. My Papillion kept getting itchy skin from many different foods. When I put him on the RC with Baron he's doing great!! No more skin or upset stomach problems for the last 3 1/2 months. I tried many others and they did the best on RC. Baron's Mom

| I use Royal Canin number 33 as well. He seems to be doing well on it, but he does seem to get itchy at times. The itchiness could be attributed to other things though. |

| I've been using Royal Canin for four years and have never had an issue with it. Puppies and adults all do very well, and I've never had a skin issue.

| It's funny you started this thread....I have also used R.C for quite some time thinking it was a decent food. I went to a site that lists ingredients in pet foods and ran each one from the Royal Canin I had on hand. I was shocked! I found at least 8 ingredients that are supposed to be bad or are just junk fillers, some are... Corn gluten- high allergy, cheap filler..... Brewers rice- waste product from breweries..... Brown rice- cheap filler ( supposed to be "whole").....Dried eggs- cheap filler, waste product.... Dried beet pulp- cheap filler, waste product, where among the bad ingredients. Royal Canin also contained an ingredient that was called, sodium tripolyphosphate. When I looked it up on this ingredient site it said it was used as a preservative and is used on rancid meats and it is also used in laundry and dishwashing products and toilet cleaners. There was an ingredient in R.C. called,"cellulose" they claim it's harsh on the bowels and can include recycled cardboard or even peanut hulls..... I just switched to Wellness, Nature's Variety and Evo and I give them home cooking....I'm also looking into Nature's Logic and Artemis. No more Royal Canin for me.....
