| I think you should especially if your dog sits on the furniture. I wipe Bree's bottom all the time.

| Both my Silky Terrier and my Maltese lick after they pee. Not always but sometimes. And I don't wipe after each poo, just when they do "the poopy dance" and I know they need help down there If I started wiping after each poo, I'd prolly get too carried away, and also clean their paws after each time the go outside etc... ?

| No, unless there is a problem. Whatever I would wipe with if I did would have to be antibacterial for me to feel like it was doing any good and that would probably irritate her skin after awhile. She rarely gets poop on the furniture and that is what a couch cover is for anyway.

| I don't wipe unless Buster has some issues. Then he gets what I call the "booty wash" which is his back end getting washed and rinsed off. |

| I certainly do because sometimes when he poops there is always a little that stay stuck to his little butt area. I know it's gross but i just grab a baby wipe and make sure i clean his bottom. I rather clean him up rather than have him scoot his little butt on the floor or on my sofas

| ok...i read the whole thread...now i dont feel like a crazy mad weird person any more....Smokey wears bellybands inside 24/7....we wipe him with a wet wipe everytime we change him.....the only time we wipe his "hinny" is when he leaves a "dingleberry"....like when he is outside in the wind...his hair is cut really short but we leave his little tail hair very long......and also a tip for you ladies that have little "bellyband" men....if they get irritated and red you can use the hypoallergentic type of Desitin Ointment....before we started taking an hour walk in the after noon(this week)...and I have lost 5 lbs....yay me....anyways he would be red ....i called my vet and asked him and he said as long as it was just a light film of the ointment ...he didnt see a problem...so i did it...i put just what would fit between my finger and thumb on the red areas and the next morning the irritation was all gone....i came up with the idea cause we were talking about having to take him into the vet to check it out....and i just thought...hey if it works on little babies...then why wouldnt it work on little furbabies....it works great......but like i said he hasnt been red at all this week....my hubby calls it his hour of airring out....lol...and we use the parent's choice wipes that are scent free....so we have no allergy problems....and i cut them in half....glad to see im not that "WEIRD" afterall.....lol

| I do wipe Pao's butt. He has a sanitary cut but sometimes poop get stuck in what little hair there is and he sits on my couch and bed so I have to make sure his butt is clean.

| I wipe Jamie's paws, weewee, and bottom with ultra sensative no fragrance baby wipes after he goes outside to potty. Now, if you don't wipe Jamie when he comes in from pottying, he follows you around expectantly until you do; and then if you still don't do it, he hunts down fabric to wipe his own bottom on! LOL! And that's how my roommate had to learn that she had to wipe Jamie everytime he went out. Hi! My name is Misty and I'm a lunatic...

| Oh my! I had no idea people wipes their little hineys every time I mean, I constantly check and see if there's an issue to tackle. But I don't ever wipe, I just wash their hineys in the utility room sink. But then I have to scour the sink, and then I have to bleach out whatever I washed the sink with, and so on and so on. lol

| well since i posted this i have been doing the wipe. The dog loves it (oddly enough, i think she thinks its her mother cleaning her). After she goes #1 or #2 i get a warm wet paper towel and do a quick wipe.

| A quick wipe does them no harm, and they get used to it. Hugs Shirl x x
