| Poor cutie I'm glad she's all fixed up now, I bet she'll be super perky when she's all healed up It'll be hard to keep her quiet that long, I'm sure, so I don't envy you on that one She's lucky to have found a wonderful new Mommy like you

| I just talked to the vet- He said she's doing as well as can be expected.. pretty doped up on pain meds, walking a little. He has her belly wrapped up to keep it IN and tight. He did say.. no way she ever had pups, it would have killed her. And that this was NOT something she was born with it was some sort of blunt force trauma to the abdomen. ![]() And to call in the morning to see if she can come home tomorrow he said it's too soon to say today. Which is fine, I'd rather he be there.. to make sure.

| UPDATE- Bella gets to come home today, I'm picking her up at lunchtime. She is doing better eating, pooped and peed. But still very sore. Needs to be crated for 2 wks. I can't wait to see her.

![]() I just can't understand how people can do this to animals, especially to these wee little ones!! I'm all the happier now for her that you have her and will show her what true love and devotion is. God bless you doubly for saving her.

| She's home, groggy and in her crate. Doc said the next 14 days are crucial that the hernia stays shut, IF it were to open she would need a surgery at a specialist that would be every bit of $2,000. SO PLEASE prayers and postive thoughts that she heals well and quickly and we have NO problems.

| Bella is recovering very well, WAY more energetic than I thought she'd be. The most trouble I'm having is keeping her calm when I take her out to pee, she wants to roll on the grass on her back, I'm sure that wrap they have on her is itchy. And to keep her from jumping, I try to stay low so she doesn't jump up too me. She has very little swelling or bruising. The big problem was she wouldn't poop, I called the vet and he said to up the liquid med to 2cc it is a stool softener, so she finally pooped Sunday morning. (last time was Friday morning) But now she hasn't gone since. She goes tonight for check up so hopefully he will say she's doing WAY better than he expected.. and she won't have to be crated all the time. ![]() Luckily she doesn't cry or whine in the crate that would kill me.
