| How much more will he grow?! Wrigley went to the vet today for the last of his puppy shots and his rabies shot. They weighed him at 5.13lbs. He is a little over 4 months old. He was 4.12 when we took him September 3rd. a pound in less than a month?! He was being fed Iams at the breeder, when we got him we switched him to Science Diet from the vet, but then we decided we wanted to go with Wellness. He is finally getting only the wellness after the switch now. So he had a string of food changes because I was trying to find the best one for him. When we got him he was kinda itchy and now he hardly itches (no more so than any dog). When do they stop gaining weight? Is the food I am giving him now fine? I'm worried that he is gaining too much weight he shouldn't be. He isn't fat I don't think but I just thought I'd ask. |

Donating YT 10K Club Member | Wellness is a good food. Be sure to feed according to the guideline on the bag. It's easy to overdo food along with treats. He probably still has some growing to do. All of mine had growth spurts around 6 months. Doubling his 9/3 weight can give a close guess...he may very well weigh 8 pounds or more.

| Each baby is different, when it comes to growing! alot of times, if you get your baby from a reputable breeder, who knows their lines.. they will be able to give you a better "for sure" estimated adult weight! but even then, you just can't say for sure.. you can triple the weight at 8 weeks and double the weight at 12 weeks.. for an estimated adult size of your baby! but this is JUST an estimate/average.. and really won't tell you for sure.. but it can kinda give you an estimate??!! xoxo. Personally, I think ALL the babies are ADORABLE.. no matter their size!!! My Avery is 1.5years old and just at 6lbs.. My Gemma is 5months old and 1.5lbs. My mom's yorkie is about 3years old and weighs around 9lbs! they are all so sweet, just adorable!! so no matter what size your baby is.. i can guarantee you they will absolutely ADORBALE no matter what!!!!

| Oh I will love him if he grew to be 50lbs I just couldn't haul him around any more haha at 12 weeks he weighed 3.3lbs, but since he is 5.13lbs right now at 4 months I think he may surpass the double at 12 weeks thing a little |

| My vet told me that they slow way down at about 6-8months. however, they do grow more muscle, and there bones aren't completely done until they are 18months. I think every yorkie is different. I have one that was 6lbs when she was your puppy age and now she weighs 101/2 lbs@ 11mo. She hasn't grown since she was about 8months. She doesn't have an once of fat on her. she's all legs. Very tall and a bigger face, nose, eyes, teeth, ears everything. My other one is almost 7months, she hasn't grown hardly at all since she was about 16wks, @ 3.2lbs. She has gained weight, but not height, she is very short. She weighs 6lbs. which my vet said she's was a big yorkie!! Not compared to my other one. lol... You can she the size difference if you go to my profile page. I love them either way! However, there is a big difference compared from 6lbs to 101/2lbs. Neither one of mine are petite But I love them both so much!!
