Wellness is a good food. Be sure to feed according to the guideline on the bag. It's easy to overdo food along with treats.
He probably still has some growing to do. All of mine had growth spurts around 6 months. Doubling his 9/3 weight can give a close guess...he may very well weigh 8 pounds or more.
