YT 500 Club Member | My vet office said that Royal Cainin is an excellent food, and they do not sell it at their office. The tech said that they treat the dogs that they test the food on like royalty. She said our vet once said that if she had an after life, she would come back as one of those dogs.

| I was giving mine Royal Canin but they simply didn't want to eat it any longer. So now for kibble I give them Chicken Soup for the Puppy Lover's Soul and they love it. For canned they get Wellness and are doing very well on this.

| First and foremost, welcome to YT! As far as what food is "best," that is a hard question to answer. What is 'best' for one dog, may not be the 'best' for the next. You will have to determine which food best fits the individual dietary needs of YOUR dogs. If you go to the Health and Diet section, there is a list of the more recommended (at least YT member recommended) brands of food at the top in a sticky. Some of the companies will send you samples and coupons if you ask them. You also may want to try this site for research: Dog Food Review Ratings It will link you to sites that examine commercial foods, home cooking, raw feeding and supplements. Do trial and error runs with your little ones. Find a brand you like, feed if for a bit and observe the results you see. You will know when you have found a good fit for YOUR little ones by the results you see. Good luck! |

| I have to say I do not like Royal canine. So many ingredients I personally will not feed to my dogs. I almost went for RC, but thank goodness I did my research. Find the ingredients list here: Dog Food Reviews - Royal Canin Mini Puppy 33 - Powered by ReviewPost Find out why it's bad, here: The Dog Food Project - Ingredients to avoid You can find many other good sites about dog food reviews. I feed my dogs Orijen. Great coats, more energy, less stool, less smelly stools - and my picky shihtzu eats it. Of course, what works for mine might not work for yours, but you should try look for food with better ingredients. That would be a great start. |

| Also watch the protein levels in dog food. From what I have read up on you want levels to be in the 20s. Stay away if it is in the 30s. Higher protein is for the larger breed of dogs that are very active. T. |

YT 2000 Club Member | dog I feed wellness complete health the chicken base one. I mix the wellness chicken stew in with the dry. My other dog is on zd hills diet. Older yorker should not have too much fat or pancreatic is can occur. DO NOT feed Costco chicken. Way too fatty. My vet told me that. I like the wellness brand. Recommended by my show poodle breeder. |
