I have to say I do not like Royal canine. So many ingredients I personally will not feed to my dogs. I almost went for RC, but thank goodness I did my research.

I feed my dogs Orijen. Great coats, more energy, less stool, less smelly stools - and my picky shihtzu eats it.

Of course, what works for mine might not work for yours, but you should try look for food with better ingredients. That would be a great start.
