| I am so glad your neighbor noticed him out there so he had a safe place to stay for the night. This is a good reminder to have at least some kind of tag with a number on it always on your dog.

| Thank heavens Sparky went to your home and he had a comfortable night, nice and warm. I am glad you found his home. They must have so worried. A Yorkie ran in front of my car last Mon. I hit the brakes and jumped out. He went across the street and peeded on someone's mail box. I called him and put my hands up to stop an on coming car as he ran back across the street and up a drive way. I stood at the bottom of the driveway hoping to see someone when he turned around at me and GROWLED! LOL I know that was his home. No collar or harness, just running loose. I left because the neighborhood was not a very good one. I knew he was home and that was all I could do. |

| Yay for Spunky! I do love happy endings! Were his owners in hysterics when they found out he was gone? Just wondering what their reaction was. But you know what I love about your post?! When your hubby told your neighbor "Can't be...we put them all to bed"...lol I find that really funny because I can just imagine him tucking everyone to bed and they all wake up from the knock at your door and tucking them in all over again. |

YT Graphic Artist Donating Member | Well, hubby brought Spunky back home. His Mommy was working but her son was home, and was so relieved to have him back! He said he "got away" around 8:00 last night, so he wasn't left out long at all! Luckily, we found him almost instantly! He said that he was an only dog, and very lonely - so he must have known just where to come for some yorkie friends! Isn't that cute? As for the part of my post where hubby said "Can't be, we just put them all to bed" ... It is so true!! We say "Night Night" to the younger pups (Sapphire, Phantom, & Brandi) and they just go right into their crates, curl up in their beds and go to sleep. They don't make a peep until morning. The adults (Shadow & Gellica) are bed dogs, and they sleep with us. so they were still awake when all this was going on last night.

| This is the third time recently that I've heard of a lost Yorkie going to an already yorkie owned home! Do you think they know where their own breed is? winstonw and I were talking about this the other day and wondering. I'm so glad Spunky found his way to you and then back home for taking such good care of him. Now for a litle yorkie to find his way to me! I'd love to have an extra one to play with for a day or two (just kidding, I don't want anyone worrying about thier baby)

Wonderful news.. and wonderful of you.. if all the people in the world were like you, we would not have so many people still looking for their yorkies..what a great ending.. My girlfriend had a yorkie who was the same age. her daughter had the dog while she was moving.. but she had been there many times over the years..she ran off and have never found her.. I would be dying inside if it were me.. anne | |
