| Help with dog magazines? Ok, I'm looking at getting one dog magazine as a child's fundraiser. Are any of these four just interesting and fun to read for the average dog owner. I don't breed or show and I know some are more geared for that: AKC Family AKC Gazette Dog Fancy Dog World Thanks!

| I don't know what one is best but I do know that I will not be subscribing to Dog Fancy anymore. On their website, dogchannel.com, they say the average Yorkie weight is 12 pounds. All they would have to do is go to the AKC site to see that that is not true, so I don't think you can trust what they publish. Isn't the AKC Gazette more about showing and maybe breeding? The other two may be the best for you.

It looks like the Gazette and Dog world are for showing and breeding. So I wonder if AKC Family is any good and worth reading! Thanks for the info!

It also says to brush weekly, if I only brushed my dogs once weekly, I would be in trouble!

| lol, and they get paid to publish that??? I "think" I got a copy of Family Dog when I registered Ellie with AKC and I "think" there was an article in there by Dr. Fitzgerald from Emergency Vets. I don't know exactly what the magazine is about but it would fit more of the category of family pets.

The guy who owns Dog Fancy was one of the judges on The Greatest American Dog too, that irks me!
