| Strangers taking pictures of your fur-babies Do you have strangers taking picture of your dogs? is so does it boder you? do you wonder what they do with the pictures? and why do they want to take pictures of your yorkies? I feel honor when friends and even in the meet-ups people take pictures of my girls, but somentimes I have strangers come to us and ask to take pictures of my girls, and I wonder somentimes why? I hope they are not using the pictures to scam anyone do you guys think is rude if I ask why you want a picture of my yorkies? The meet-up in San Luis I noticed a large family that stop by and the mother was taking several pictures of my Phoebe with out asking me, I don't know why that boder me, so I said Phoebe come, but then I felt like a jurk for doing that I just want some imput from you guys |

| When Suri went for her first vet check, the vet tech asked to take a picture of Suri. I said sure, but she told me she had to show her daughter. It doesn't really bother me if they ask. Many people love yorkies, and I figure sometimes when I see a breed I really love I would like to take a picture because they are gorgeous. (I love love love bull terriers, they are rare to see) I might be bothered if a person was taking pictures without my permission.

| Greta, I think you should ask them why they are taking pictures of your pups. You are not being a jerk, you are being a protective parent. It is very understandable. That would bother me too.

I ♥ Joey & Ralphie! Donating Member | Now you know how Paris Hilton feels! I think it's always more polite to ask, but if they don't just think of it as a compliment. Your dogs must be super adorable to have this problem. If it really bothers you, you could always say that she's a professional model, and gets paid for all her work.

| I'd be a little nervous if a complete stranger wanted to take Meeko's picture. I'd worry it's for a scam. No ones taken a picture of my baby but, if they'd ask, I'd ask what for. I guess they wouldn't tell the truth if it was for a scam but, I'd feel better asking.

Donating YT 7000 Club Member | Someone took a picture of Tucker once. I thought it was pretty funny. I never really thought about what they do with it. I guess they just think "Oh that's a really cute dog I'd like to remember what they look like." haha. I like Nancy's idea though.

| I live in a really touristy area and people do it all the time. It kinda freaks me out but I don't pay much attention to it anymore. Most people don't ask.

| Whenever I take Sam out fully dressed .... someone is always taking a pic of him with their cell phones. And if he is in his stroller all dressed up .. you can count on it I found it quite weird at first but now it doesnt bother me. Most people normally ask if they can bc "Aunt Suzie Q" is NOT going to believe that this dog has glasses

| I've had that happen, too, and it does feel a little awkward. I think you can probably sense it if people are up to 'no good'. Usually they just think your baby is cute. It still amazes me how people make a fuss when they see a Yorkie. The other day I had a customer at the car dealer where I was waiting for my car ask to take a picture. He thought it was the kind of dog his girlfriend had been wanting and took the picture to show her. I also had him with me at a bank where they talk to you through a camera & a phone. One of the clerks came out to the lobby and asked me to hold him up to the camera because everyone in the back wanted to see him. It's cute and very flattering! |

| I've never had a stranger take a pic of my furbutts (to my knowledge). I don't think I would like that. However, people take pics of my little horses almost anytime I have them out. I have even had people offer me $$ for me to allow them to take pics of the minis with their children. The last Christmas parade I had them in parents were shoving their kids in front of us for that perfect picture. It's a good thing that Mae and Lucy don't spook or we would have had some major wrecks. |

| We were on a whirlwind vacation for the last two months and had the dogs with us. We usually put all of them in the stroller while we are out. Everyplace we went, there were people asking to take a picture. I mean seriously.. we couldn't go 10 feet without being stopped and asking if they could take a picture. Mike said if we had a dollar for everytime someone asked to take a picture we would be rich. I just try to look at it from their prospective. If I saw 4 adorable yorkies all dressed up in a stroller, I would probably ask to take a picture too.

Banning Thread Dictator Donating Member | Hmm, I never gave it much thought. I take pictures of people's dogs all the time at dog meetups, but I do it mainly for them. I send them copies to use as they please. I also post them on a yahoo group site where our meetup group gathers, and one time I made a business card for myself with tiny thumbnail faces of several of the dogs. After hearing your concern, I think I'll ask before doing anything like that again.
