| I went real slow, especially with Pebbles (she had been messed up by a groomer with her other family). I started out by just holding the drill by the girls with it on, not trying to touch them or anything. Letting them be curious & get used to the noise. Then with it off - I started bringing it closer & touching them, laying it by them, etc. Then, by following this site below, I began to do Lucy's nails with ease. I am still working with Pebbles slowly. I keep their hair on their paws trimmed real short, to avoid any chance of catching the hair in the tool. How to Dremel Dog Nails @ DoberDawn.com

| I always wondered about these. I have seen many of them on Ebay, and they were A lot more the $19.99 . I think they look pretty nice, and easy to use , but, my Suzi is A brat. She would not tolerate them. I am going to use the old method for A while lol. She might calm down when older, then i'll try those.

| I don't mess with my pups nails. I think I'm more jumpy about it than they are. I leave it to the professionals and I trust my groomer. They've never had their nails cut too short and they are really good with the clippers. I think I'll be sticking to the old fashioned way of nail trimming.

| I ordered it 4 weeks ago and still not recieved it. I wish I could cancel it. I am anxious to try it. I wish I knew that Bed, Bath and Beyond had them before I ordered it. I don't live near one but my kids do and they come home every weekend. My Daughter in law says she gets coupons for there all the time too. RATS!!!! OH well I guess I will play the game.

| Well, day 2 of the pedi paws. I am able to turn it on and actually put in on their body. Maggie still a little scared but at least I can get close. I have been putting it on their nails (not turned on) to get them used to that. It will probably be another couple of days before I actually turn it on though.

| I did Meeko's front 2 paws last night and his back 2 today. He was very good with it. He's use to me clipping him, though. The pedi paws is not any louder than a clipper. I had an easier time using it without the orange saftey guard. With the guard on, the hole isn't very big and his nail kept hitting it and I had the hardest time rounding the edges without hitting the edge. Maybe it was just me being nervous at first. After I hit his nails a few times, he got a little uneasy. I stopped for a while and went back without the guard and he layed on his back and didn't move at it. I made sure to trim the hairs around his nails before I started, didn't want any hair to get caught around it. I couldn't believe how still he was for me. If you're baby is ok with the little hum of clippers, than they shouldn't be bothered by this. I hope you guys have good luck with your babies, I think it's so much safer than cutting their nails.

| Okay, I went to get one today and just tried it on Chloe. Since it was my FIRST time ever file or cut a dog's nails. I was soooo nervous!! I didn't file long at all. Chloe didn't like it as much, but oh well...her "mean mommy" still continue using it!! Can someone take a picture and let me know how short I can cut a Yorkie's nail? I can't really see the quick since Yorkie has dark nails color? Thanks!! |

| On our local news channel they have a weekly segment called "does it work" featuring a different item each week. They gave it a raving yes after allowing the lady at the animal shelter try on her rescue dogs and cats right on camera. She was truely in love with it. This is not an avertisement and they are sure to tell you if it doesnt work. So I'm getting one in my stocking for Christmas...... ![]() On the show, cats just gathered around the woman using it..... it must not have been too scarey..... Quote:

| I currently use a dremel with good success but It takes two of us to do ...one to hold and file and one to keep long hair from getting caught up in it....... |

| Does it come in different sizes like the Peticure does? One for small dogs and one for big dogs and small dogs?
