| Doggy Daycare?? There is a pet store in the city thats about 5 hours away from me and I've put Pippin in their doggy daycare once before and he was a little terrified but once he saw the other little dogs that he could play with he was fine and we were only gone for a couple of hours. This store is located right in the Mall that we were shopping in and when we picked him up the little beagle puppy he was playing with started crying cause Pippin was leaving. I was wondering if anyone else has ever done doggy daycare??

| I really wish we had one here! That would be great-no torn up toiletpaper or any other things when I get home!

| My guys go to doggy daycare once in awhile... They are seperated from the bigger dogs and they seem to like it...some more than the others... One day Peppy was not feeling well so I did not send him and Tae cried the whole morning so they called me and I went and picked him up... I like that about them...

| A friend of mine puts her dog in doggie daycare once a week just so she can have some socialization. There's a gas station next door and one day while i was filling up....you could see all the dogs playing in the fenced in yard...it was so cute.

| Franklin goes to day care probably every other week! We love it! There is a separate area just for the small dogs and there is a TV and tons of toys and a futon. He is always exhausted when we pick him up!

| I'm going out of town for a couple of days tomorrow with my parents and we're taking Pippin. This is his third road trip and he's excited about it, he even gets his own backpack that has all of his toys, shirts, food bowls and everything else we need for a hotel stay. His first road trip he was only 4 months old and slept in his kennel the whole way. His second road trip he lid down in the back with my mom almost the whole way. We had to stop on the side of the road once for him to pee. He did really good his first time staying in a hotel room, had a couple of 3 am barkings but once we lied and told him it was just the tv that was making noise he went right back to sleep. I'm excited about taking him on a road trip again and putting him in doggy day care at the pet store in the mall. They have an area for smaller dogs as well and he seemed okay. I think I'm gonna go to Petsmart and get him some pj's and possibly a snow suit. We get really cold winters here where I live in Canada and Pippin got a haircut and he's a little too short so I don't want him freezing during the winter.

| I took Barney last week for a day at the groomers and then to daycare for the rest of the day......He was more than a little overwhelmed....He passed his evaluation with flying colors...The problem was the other little guys were overly excited to see him and he was overwhelmed. He ended up spending the rest of the day at the front desk with older lady-sitting and/or napping in her lap...Which he loved dearly....So I have to decide whether it would benefit him in the long run

| Rory goes to daycare every single day. She loves it! I just feel too guilty about leaving her home alone all day, and I worry about what could happen if there was a fire or something. I hate to even think it. I also live in an apartment complex, and she does NOT like being left alone and has no trouble letting you know. Anyways, it's great for socialization, and she is a bit of a favorite there if I do so so myself. It is pretty fun to be able to look in at her all day through the webcams. I can always tell she is having a ball - she is the little black dot zooming all over the screen. I will say when Rory first started going she would stare longingly out the window at the large dogs playing (my sister has an 80 pound sheepdog), but she now loves all her little friends. There is a great group of "minis" that attend daily, and I think Ms. Rory runs the show. Last edited by TresCutePiggies; 09-11-2008 at 11:11 AM. |

| that was cute pictures. truthfully, i have not left my Suzi with anyone or anywhere since I got her .I am disabled and stay at home most of the time with her. Now I am too attatched. Is that bad? Suzi has been around other dogs though, and is a little scared, but not too bad. She loves people and is very friendly. At A doggie daycare do they always check Each dog's shot records? how do they keep track of which dog belongs to who? Just curious?

They keep track of all the shot records. Dogs must have all their shots before they are allowed to attend daycare or even board. I like that if I ever needed to board her (thus far I just bring her along everywhere) she would be very comfortable with them. The dogs that board play all day and go into runs at night. Daycare includes a nap time (two hour quiet time in runs) where they'll even feed lunch there if you leave it with them! Everyone there knows us by name. They'll see me in the parking lot, and I can hear them call for Rory over the intercom. I think everyone there is a true animal lover, and it really shows. I wouldn't trust my baby to just anyone. Each dog has a file that lists all it's information much like a "real" daycare would I imagine. They offer passes, which offers a slight discount when you buy in bulk, so everyday they check off a day on her pass. Her file also includes what type of food she eats, how much, how often she eats, any special meds if necessary, etc. They actually let Rory keep a bed there because she rests better at nap time. One more thing - they have little magnets that have each dog's picture on them...the magnet goes into the locker that houses your dogs leash/coat whatever! So I think they definitely have a handle on keeping track of how each dog goes with each owner. I even signed a permission slip stating that my sister was allowed to pick up Rory. It's all real official like. | |

| I have mixed feelings about the doggie daycare here. I have heard good/bad reviews. Anyone know any good ones in Bloomington, IN? Have family here who support one or another? Thank you!
