At A doggie daycare do they always check Each dog's shot records? how do they keep track of which dog belongs to who? Just curious? |

Don't feel bad - if I stayed at home I would most certainly not be sending Rory to daycare everyday! Rory is refusing to get a job, so someone has to pay the bills while daddy finishes his PhD.

They keep track of all the shot records. Dogs must have all their shots before they are allowed to attend daycare or even board. I like that if I ever needed to board her (thus far I just bring her along everywhere) she would be very comfortable with them. The dogs that board play all day and go into runs at night. Daycare includes a nap time (two hour quiet time in runs) where they'll even feed lunch there if you leave it with them! Everyone there knows us by name. They'll see me in the parking lot, and I can hear them call for Rory over the intercom. I think everyone there is a true animal lover, and it really shows. I wouldn't trust my baby to just anyone. Each dog has a file that lists all it's information much like a "real" daycare would I imagine. They offer passes, which offers a slight discount when you buy in bulk, so everyday they check off a day on her pass. Her file also includes what type of food she eats, how much, how often she eats, any special meds if necessary, etc. They actually let Rory keep a bed there because she rests better at nap time.
One more thing - they have little magnets that have each dog's picture on them...the magnet goes into the locker that houses your dogs leash/coat whatever!
So I think they definitely have a handle on keeping track of how each dog goes with each owner. I even signed a permission slip stating that my sister was allowed to pick up Rory. It's all real official like.
