Congrats and Welcome - Your little girl is still a baby, and has NO clue about 'good potty' and 'bad potty' - You'll have many, many months of potty training, among other training as well. Remember that she she is so tiny, so she can not hold potty for very long. If you are training her to go outside, you should be taking her out about every 30 mins, and bring her to the same potty area. If you are pee pad training, then you need to keep her in a small contained area, with pee pads, food, water, toys and bed. She should not have free run until she is (IMO) at least 1 year old. B/c there will be regression periods as well, plus having too much free run is scarey and intimidating. So keep her area small and contained (like the kitchen area) - I would get an expen (from Walmart.com) it's the Play Yard (white plastic) it's about $50 - this is great for young pups. Oh and crate training at night (if this is what you are doing) you will need to get up through out the night to let her go potty, as she can not hold it that long
