| I think they can get sad, I hope Sparky doesn't get depressed while you are gone though. Think of it like SPARKY is getting a little vacation of his own, I'm sure your mother-in-law will spoil him lots during this time. You can also leave a shirt or something with you and your husband's scent on it, to make Sparky more comfortable while you are away. Just be prepared for lots of hugs and kisses from Sparky when ya get back! |

| I was thinking that to make his stay at your mother in law more comfortable for him you can sent with him: his toys, blankets, bed and something of yours with your scent like s shirt. Try to enjoy your vacation. |

| I know how you feel. Whenever I leave my yorkie, Gizmo he won't eat for a day or two. My husband and I are planning a 5 night cruise in November for our anniversary and my main concern is arranging for my daughter to take care of him. He has never been left with anyone who is not family. Guess I spoil him.

| I recently left my 2 for the first time with my mom. I was a nervous wreck!! I cried my eyes out after I dropped them off. I called & checked on them every day. They were absolutely fine & I was so glad my mom got to really enjoy them. Have a nice vacation & try not to worry too much!

| I left my baby behind when we went to Vegas this summer. I was gone for 7 days. When I dropped her off, I cried. I called every day to check on her. I dropped her off with more stuff than I was taking with ME to Vegas! I even made a three page list of information for my friend who was taking care of her. You know what? She was PERFECT the whole time. She cried the first night and that was it. I worried for nothing. And when I brought her back home, things went right back to the way they were before. She was like I had never left her. You definetly don't have to worry! Enjoy your vacation!

| dont worry! my parents dog, dink got really depressed when i moved out....just leave a blanket you sleep with or something that smells like you and give your baby alot of extra attention before you leave! call often if possible (it may sound stupid but when i moved out i called all the time to talk to dinkers and it cheered him up) your baby will be fine and the best thing ever will be when you reunite...even better then your vacation!!! you'll get tons of love and kisses! |
