| Funkie Monkey Help with Irfan View Funkie Monkey? Can you help me? I went into irfan view and put on download and then went to the mirror and hit Nevada and then it came up to download : register Mechanic I don't think that is what I want , is it? Would you go back into the site and let me know what I need to download to get the picture one to resize them, etc. I would really appreciate this, as I told you, I am not computer smart. Tell me how to get to the part where I download the right thing. APPRECIATE IT! AM I A PAIN, OR WHAT? Pat |

| No, you want to download Irfanview. Go here: http://www.ejrs.com/irfanview/ and click on Version 3.95 to download the file. Enjoy! |

| If FastEddie's link didn't work you can use the one I used which is: http://www.tucows.com/preview/194967.html Click the link then choose the version of windows that you have. Post again if it doesn't work and I will try to walk you through it. Hope this was of help.

| I downloaded the Irfanview 3.95 a couple days ago...Im just not too sure how to figure it out yet. Sometimes all the computer programs are enough to make one stress out bigtime, LOL.. I just need to play around with it and try to figure it out. Good luck to you all out there too trying to make it work for you.

| let me see if I can help: open irfanview...click on the folder icon on the top left...them browse your computer for your picture... click on your picture, then 'open' ... ok...if you get this far here is what you do to resize your picture... click on the image button at the top and you will get a drop down menu.. on that menu select 'resize/resample'.... On the pop up box put a dot next to 'set new size'. Also make sure 'pixels' has a dot beside it.. Type in a number around 350 or 400 and the height will automatically adjust.. Click ok and save... Let us know how it goes..

| Oh I have to laugh at this....It did not post it to a thumbnail, only created the attachement, then when opened it is sooo tiny, LOL. I had to put like 100 in the size box, if I did 350 or higher it said the file is too large? guess I will have to practice more on this.

| I will try that... Well, nope even set as jpeg it only wants to add an attachement and not the thumbnail then post the picture just a little bit bigger than the last. I never saw an icon to maybe say "save as thumbnail" to open to a full size picture.. confusing, very strange deal.... But thanks again and again...

| I wish I knew however what I clicked on to make it go to thumbnail. But even though it did the picture didn't open (stayed small) and it became blurry. I hate to waste space on the forum "playing around and experimenting" with it though. Thanks again for your help today -

| usually if you resize a picture to 400 by whatever it automatically adjusts it to, it works for me and then I can post it by uploading the file to the message board. Oh, and I usually only use .jpg or .gif formats. Hope that helps you out! :P

| Boy now I am confused. I kept trying to down load it and finally realised that I had a message at the top. It said Microsoft blocked the downloading of this file to my computer as it could possibly harm it. Seeing as how I had such a bad worm a while ago and had to have my computer all redone, I was hesitant to do this. I did click the message, and said to download and Microsoft came back telling me it could harm my computer again. So I don't know what to do! |

| Mybirdy2003, When I downloaded it said the same thing but I got no harmful worm or such. It's just a "protective" measure. It will be fine to download.
