| ![]() Same Here! Aaron told me as soon as I brought her home, "she's not sleeping on the bed" and then a couple nights later I woke up and she was sleeping in the bed. He looked at me and said, "She likes sleeping with us". I just love it! ![]()

She was a new puppy, and she howled. I told DH I was going to bring her in to calm her down. She was in the bed and then he was like, "It's okay. Come over here with Daddy." Like he's the good guy now? LOL. Didn't take much convincing. | |

| ![]() It was actually the other way around for us. Adam said he wanted a dog for his birthday and I told him it would need to be a small dog. I was expecting him to choose a breed about the size of a cocker spaniel or maybe a little bigger. He said he wanted a yorkie and at the time I was ignorant and thinking teacup so I said "You want a WHAT?!" A yorkie was what he wanted, so we went searching until we found Chippy and he is NOTHING like what I expected him to be. I've been raised around big dogs my whole life. I had a Shar-Pei that we affectionately called Killer Kujo as a nickname and a sweet, amazing Golden Retriever. What I didn't know about yorkies were that they are big dogs in small packages. Seven months after we got Chippy I then HAD to rescue Smokey and I couldn't be more in love with my two boys. My next endeavor will be a Biewer. :-)

| ![]() I just celebrated my 3 yr. Anniversary this past Aug. 13th w/my BF, I already had my male Artie for about 2 yrs. and I had just purchased my 2nd Yorkie, Abigail was still a puppy @ 6 mos. old, I did'nt have her that long. It was'nt until they had puppies and I kept the runt of the Litter, Tiffany the smallest female w/c he claimed as his. She forced herself on him and every night she is the last one kissing him and every morning she is the first to wake him up. He used to raise/breed Boxer's and he never liked small Dogs. I literally ignored every comment/insult and any and all suggestions that he made. I made it very obvious that I was not going to change my relationship with my Dogs for him and that he would have to accept them and the situation. So we sleep w/3 Yorkie's, that also live & breathe w/us 24/7, that follow us around non-stop, that have also taken over my car nicknamed the "Yorkie Taxi". In other words I forced him, luckily all 3 are lovable and well Trained so he does'nt really have any problems w/them. In fact he's so used to them that he's not even "Jealous" any more. |

When I bought my Mickey just a few days went by and hubby asked well when are you going to go get another one. Mickey needs a minnie. so a few weeks later we brought Little Miss Minnie Kay home. |

She licked him and licked him and then rested her little head between his thumb and index fingers and fell fast asleep. He put down the deposit and we went back the next day and brought her home. She still licks him and licks him. ![]() |

| ![]() My hubby was against it totally at first because we had two big dogs (the lab and golden). Well I was totally relentless for a couple weeks and found several litters in the paper (I know-totally wrong but before I found yorkietalk). Anyway, he said we could go look at one of the litters and we went and looked (he was the tough guy acting all put out) then we got back to the truck and he said "if you really want one you can have one." Well I didn't like that litter (I knew enough that the dogs were completely non-standard). So we went and looked at another litter and I didn't like that one either but again he said I could get one if I wanted.. I knew it was only a matter of finding one I liked at that point. I went to look at Ranger's litter one morning and fell in love, I called DH and he kinda fought it then said I could have him as long as he could name him.. hence the name Ranger (not what I would have called him but he could have named him anything- I wanted my baby!!) ![]() I brought him home and he was in awe and in love. Now DH gets mad at me when I discipline Ranger! He brags about him to everyone and proudly holds him when I need help. He would kill me if I told anyone this but he said if he had to get a dog he would get another yorkie. ![]()

| ![]() I was very bad and just suprised dh with faith and brought her home and he fell in love with her as soon as he saw her. It just took a little while before he would let anyone know how much he loves her. We even had to move because of her and other than having to pack the garage he was never mad about it. He even put her in our bed the second day we were in the new house. I did the same thing with Yoda and when I brought him home I said we could find him a new home and he said no way he is ours now. Although Faith is daddy's little girl and Yoda is a mommy's boy. (Sorry this was so long)

| ![]() I loved reading all your stories, some made me cry and laughed so hysterically. I totally forgot that I didn't post my own. ![]() As for my story, my hubby had never had a dog, his family had never had a dog and also views it as the dog is "owned" by the people. Then one day we went jogging and we came to this dog park and saw a little cute yorkie jumping up and down a bench kissing its mommy. I told my hubby I want one of those! He totally said NO! Like I'm going to listen to him. Then I went on a crusade looking for a yorkie, I found my Wookie. Went to the breeder without DH, then came home and told him I'm getting Wookie. No matter how much he kicked and screamed I didn't care, I was in love. So he relentlessly went with me to pick Wookie up. In the car ride home, I was already training Wookie, "I'm Mommy and that's Daddy" hubby heard me say that and said "no, I'm not daddy, I don't want to be attached". Well I said that's too bad. I told him that this dog is going to be part of our life, he will live with us, sleep with us, we will feed him, clean him, shelter him, and he will be part of our family (we have no kids), he will be like a kid to us. He didn't say anything else during the car ride home. That was in 2005. Now, he can't sleep without Wookie between us. He's constantly looking for Wookie when he goes to bed. Wookie showed him loyalty, compassion, understanding, and love. While he was going to school and would come home late, Wookie would stay out in the living room to wait for him no matter what. When he's in the computer doing some programming, Wookie would wait for him and just stay with him all night if he had too. DH saw this and I made him understand. I made his whole family understand. We can't leave the dogs in the house, if we are going to his parents house, we bring all of them with us. His parents saw how much I love my dogs, the way I talk with them and take care of them. Now everyone has turned a 360 when it came to dogs. Now when we go to his parents house, his parents are always looking for our dogs. His parents even gave them money last Christmas, each one had a "Christmas envelope in their tree with each of their names on it". His sisters also gave them little presents under the tree. Wookie changed our lives for the better, we get along better, DH even pointed out the other day that our dogs are teaching us to be better parents. When we argue, all our dogs looks so sad and always wants to hug us, perhaps to stop. They teach us to be better people. So then after 1 year of having Wookie in our lives, I wanted Naboo. This time Hubby went with me (he was so excited) to the breeder and Naboo was the one that picked us. After 8 months of Naboo being with us, they got pregnant (hubby said he's a grandpa now) and we kept Squeekie, the runt. Now I feel that our family is complete. |
