My hubby was against it totally at first because we had two big dogs (the lab and golden). Well I was totally relentless for a couple weeks and found several litters in the paper (I know-totally wrong but before I found yorkietalk). Anyway, he said we could go look at one of the litters and we went and looked (he was the tough guy acting all put out) then we got back to the truck and he said "if you really want one you can have one." Well I didn't like that litter (I knew enough that the dogs were completely non-standard). So we went and looked at another litter and I didn't like that one either but again he said I could get one if I wanted.. I knew it was only a matter of finding one I liked at that point.
I went to look at Ranger's litter one morning and fell in love, I called DH and he kinda fought it then said I could have him as long as he could name him.. hence the name Ranger (not what I would have called him but he could have named him anything- I wanted my baby!!)
I brought him home and he was in awe and in love. Now DH gets mad at me when I discipline Ranger! He brags about him to everyone and proudly holds him when I need help. He would kill me if I told anyone this but he said if he had to get a dog he would get another yorkie.
