| What's the Deal? I dont get it, maybe you guys could help me...there are clean wee wee pads down in our house and Dolce will pee on the hardwood floor instead...then 15 min later she will go on the pad. Its like she only goes on the pad when she feels like it. I just dont get it....do any of your Yorkies do the same thing? Also is there anyway to stop her from going on the floor and consistently go on the pad because the parents are afraid their floors are going to get ruined? She's good except for that....plus cleaning up pee every half hour gets tiring...I need desperate help!!!

| pee pads If you can get hr more on a schedule for going potty, like crating her and then letting her out every few hours and put her on the pad until she goes. Or, if you are there with her, keep an eye on her, and everytime she starts walking around, keep putting her on the pad until she goes. They usually go after waking up, and after eating. And when she goes on the pad, praise her ALOT and give her a treat. Good luck! |

| Try adding an extra pad where she pees on the floor.. sometimes when they are pups they haven't quite mastered it yet. |

| That's a great idea! I forgot about that! I used to put them all over the place, and then gradually remove the ones where she didn't go on. I let her pick the place where she wanted to go....not my choice, exactly, but at least it worked. And, I had to use newspaper, because she would rip the pads up! lol. |

| Toby seems like a real character!! Well guys, I tried the extra pad thing...would you believe the little nut actually peed on that second pad?? Its like the first pad is the "forbidden" pad or something. My mother and i couldnt believe that she actually went on that second pad...my boyfriend thought it was a great idea!! So now I will leave that there for a while and then eventually take it away. You guys are the best!!!

| Funny story---the night before last, my boyfriend's brother wanted to come over to pick up a CD, except that he could only come over at 4 AM. After he comes in, Archie went crazy and was really really happy! My boyfriend and I went back to bed, but apparently, his brother went to the bathroom and Archie followed him in and peed on his wee wee pad in there while watching my boyfriend's brother pee! I'm not sure if this is actually funny or gross... Dolce's mom---you might want to try getting Nature's Miracle Stain and Odor Remover from Petco (or where ever). Dogs usually pee at the same spots each time, and even though you clean it up, they can still smell it and that's why they keep going there. If you clean it with Nature's Miracle, it completely erases the smell to the dogs, so Dolce will only smell her pee on the wee wee pad (assuming you leave a little pee on it) and keep going there. That's what I use to clean up the hardwood floor with to keep Archie from going in those spots again and again. |
