| Barking puppy, out of two story window . My Suzi who will be 6 months old at the end of the week has started looking out of the window. We are on the second floor... She now goes barking crazy every time she sees someone outside.. Even if they are accross the street. Suzi is not much of a barker, however all of that is changing. OMG, she gets herself all worked up ! She has recently discovered the window, and it is like she becomes possessed ... She has a low growl too... And was even doing that quiet bark last night on my bed.. My gosh, she is starting to show her true colors.. Such a little thing, and a deep bark ! Hoping she will calm down and it is just a phase.... LOL

| Gabby just recently started doing the same thing! And when she was about 6 months! Before that she never really barked much. Now she barks when she sees someone out the window, and sometimes barks at the front door, maybe someone is out there. I remember a few months ago someone asking me if she barked much and I said now she was good, like you said their true colors are now showing! |

I ♥ Joey & Ralphie! Donating Member | You both need to get a tin can with a lid and put pennies in it. Some people use a Pepsi can and tape the opening. I have several tins from Christmas that work great. When they bark, say "no bark" shake can. Repeat every time the bark, don't yell, and don't talk a lot. They will not outgrow it; it gets worse not better if you don't discipline them. You can train them to stop barking, and eventually you don't need to use the pennies, just your words will be effective. However, at first keep the can handy and do it every time they bark. Be consistent and do it every time. The first few times it may take 10 shakes of the can for a really persistent dog. I always have to laugh when someone brags about their puppy and what a good boy they are and how they never bark, and they're only four months old. I think, just wait, you'll see.
