I am so impressed with Little Dakota to the Rescue. What an amazing story. You have your own little Lassie there. So sorry about the fire, my goodness, my prayers are with you that things in your life are back in order soon. Hugs to you and Dakota.

Oh no!! I am so sorry for what has happened to your home. Thank God everyone got out alive and are all safe. Hopefully the insurance company covers everything that was lost.

Awwww. That is such a wonderful story. So sorry about the fire but kudos to your Yorkie for rescueing you. They are amazing little creatures, huh?

The unconditional love that we receive is amazing and wonderful. I'm glad everyone got out safely. Your life cannot compare to your possessions. I hope the insurance settles quickly and you are able to get back into your home quickly.

Thank you all! We are doing ok. Dakota is being a little trooper, being as she is in a strange place without all her things.

poor baby. The insurance gave us the papers to fill out Saturday on what we had lost, but we have more than triple what our limit is in losses and damages. I am just hoping and praying they give us enough. We have begun to look for an apartment, and some houses, they are wanting us to repair the house and live there...but with my lung problems my doctor said I couldn't (not that I wanted to

), So we are having to be careful with how much we can spend. Thank you everyone again for your kind thoughts and prayers. I will try to keep you posted when I have access to a computer.

Hey everyone, I just wanted to try and update everyone. The insurance still hasn't paid us for everything inside the house we lost. But they did give us a small check to start "repairs", the only bad thing is I am not going to be able to live there due to my lung problems. So we are trying to find a place to rent or what not so we can get out of his parents spare bedroom.

They have been nice in letting us stay with them....but I am ready to have my own place, and dakota needs more room than a little bedroom.

My husband is having the house "fixed", so we can get the rest of the insurance money (which isn't near what we hoped for). However, I am sure everything will work out for the best. Thank you everyone for your kind words and thoughts. Dakota received her ge box in the mail yesterday and that was a huge blessing as she didn't have anything, her wonderful buddy remi sent her a bunch of great toys and a cute bed and the most darling blanket...which dakota LOVES to death (this makes me happy as she lost her fav. blankie in the fire). It was so heart warming to see her playing again, and to look like she wasn't so worried. She looked happy!

I will try to keep you posted on our progress as I can. Love you all!!
