Hey everyone, I just wanted to try and update everyone. The insurance still hasn't paid us for everything inside the house we lost. But they did give us a small check to start "repairs", the only bad thing is I am not going to be able to live there due to my lung problems. So we are trying to find a place to rent or what not so we can get out of his parents spare bedroom.
They have been nice in letting us stay with them....but I am ready to have my own place, and dakota needs more room than a little bedroom.
My husband is having the house "fixed", so we can get the rest of the insurance money (which isn't near what we hoped for). However, I am sure everything will work out for the best. Thank you everyone for your kind words and thoughts. Dakota received her ge box in the mail yesterday and that was a huge blessing as she didn't have anything, her wonderful buddy remi sent her a bunch of great toys and a cute bed and the most darling blanket...which dakota LOVES to death (this makes me happy as she lost her fav. blankie in the fire). It was so heart warming to see her playing again, and to look like she wasn't so worried. She looked happy!
