| Is $40.00 to much to pay for grooming every six weeks. Sal enjoy going to get groomed but my husband think it is too much for such a little dog. Do you think so? |

Therapy Dog Donating Member | I pay our groomer $35 total 1x a month for Izzy's grooming. Then at Xmas time he really gets a nice gift from us (we get him gift cards at his favorite shopping places!!). Well worth it for me..he does the hard stuff and I just maintain during that time.

| $45 is what I pay. It's a little high for this area, but they do NOT use cage dryers.

| It's within reason, plus a tip if not the owner. I use to think it was alot of money until I started grooming Buddy myself and he's good. It takes alot of time and patience so I think, if you like the groomer, it's definately worth it. |

| Sounds reasonable to me. They do take a long time to do, like 3-4 hours so that's like $10/hr. If they do a bad job then that's when I complain. But since I have 3, the hubby grooms them himself and he does better than the groomers but he's lazy at times so I have to fork it up. |

| But honestly, do they really need to go to the groomer every 6 weeks?? I can't even remember what I've paid for Tatum in the past because she hasn't been to a groomer in about 2 years. Once her hair got long and I had the groomer cut in kinda long layers, it seemed to stop growing. I love the length of it but it's a good thing I wasn't going for a full length show coat. When I bathe her, I trim her ears (not every time) and buzz between the pads of her feet and her little hiney area. Every so often I get my vet's assistant to cut her nails - only because it takes her about 2 minutes where as I would fight and struggle with Tatum for hours, upsetting both of us! I just don't know what you would need to get professionally groomed every 6 weeks or less. I guess what I mean to say is, Tatum surely doesn't need it that often.

| That's about what I pay. I tried a slightly cheaper place last summer, and they completely butchered Gus. You get what you pay for! |

| I pay $40 each. She charges $35 and yes she is the owner, but I tip her anyway because she accommodates my schedule, lets me stay, gets both of my dogs done in under 2 hours, only does one dog or family at a time AND she puts up with Sam who constantly tries to jump off the table and can be a complete monster. Luckily Loki is an angel every time we go.
