| ![]() Mine is 16lbs. He's the greatest dog EVER. Does anyone else have people doubting that their dog is really a Yorkie because of it's size? Mine is AKC registered, so I know he's truly a Yorkie but my groomer insists he can't be since he's so big. I know it doesn't really matter, but is still annoys me... |

| ![]() My Baxter is 12 lbs, and Snickers is 10 lbs. All the beauty and attitude of a yorkie in a sturdy package. It really is the best of both worlds! ![]()

| ![]() For everyone with a larger Yorkie, what was the growth rate like? My Romeo will be 12 weeks on Monday and he's already almost 6lbs!!!! The breeder told me he'd be 6-7 pounds full grown (yea right!) but I'm just curious as to how big he'll actually be. Of course I'll love him either way; I just won't be able to sneak him into restaurants anymore ![]()

| ![]() My Chewy is the eldest and he is 13 lbs (gained some this winter) then comes my girl at 8 lbs and the other boy is my tiny one at 5 lbs. Plus I have a Shih Tzu at 7 lbs. We have a great time with them all. Of course I get a bit nervous when they all gang up on the little one. But they sure have fun and we love them to bits.

| ![]() I feel much better now. I was afraid that Duke was to big, as he's about 8lbs at 7 months. I see so many on here that are 3-4lbs. He seems like a giant compared to those dogs. I'm actually glad he's a little bigger. He is such a rough maniac always jumping and bouncing its a good thing he's sturdy. ![]()

| ![]() Hi everyone! We're new to this site and came across this thread whilst looking for how big other people's Yorkies have become...Our Yorkie is going to be a monster! He's not even 5 months old and he's already 15 and a half pounds (7kg's)! He's all in poportion, though, and is full of mischief and we love him to bits!! We've just put a deposit down on a 2 week old Yorkie. His parents aren't as big, so don't think he'll be quite so huge! Can't wait to get him and make Charlie a big brother! ![]() |

| ![]() Breed standard (in England, and I think here in the USA) is up to 7 lbs. But hey, not all dogs are "standard" like all humans's aren't "standard" I believe the original Yorkshire terriers were around 12 to 14lbs. You all have a lot more Yorkie to love - and one can't have too much Yorkie to love.
