| ![]() Yorkieisme, Thank you for your note. I will look forward on being on much more positive threads in the future. I have learned a lot in my 8 years of raising puppies and know I will always be able to learn more from others. I also hope that some of what I have learned from sources that many people don't get to have like I do - classes from AKC judges, classes from vet's on specialized areas, and other seminars that the average pet owner might not get to attend, might enable me to help someone now and then. "My Bible verses" I might change a lot of things in my life - I'm sure not perfect - but if I had to describe myself - a Christian is number 1 for me. I am a believer in the saving power of Christ with the number one desire in my life being to live in a Christlike manner - which I have to continue to work on daily. That is more important to me then being a mom, wife, friend, doggy mom, etc., and I hope this also makes me a better wife, mom, friend, doggy mom, etc. So I see no reason to hide that because some people think they see someone hiding "something evil or deceptive" behind Bible verses. I have sold puppies to people off ALL walks of life - in different religions, no religion, etc, and different life styles - but we all have respected each other's beliefs even if we don't agree with each other. None of these people worried because I decided to put up Bible verses just as I hope I would not judge you should you decide to use quotes or icons from some one source as something you want to live by. This helps people know who I am. If a person doesn't like who I am due to me having Bible verses on my site, then I am glad they go to someone else to get their puppy. As far as the designer dogs - that's a difference of opinion. I have AKC show friends who are championing purebred after purebred dog - championing 4 to 5 dogs a year, who are raising "designer puppies" to sell. They are just not brave enough to come out about it. I'm having a blast with the designer puppies and finding homes that are just as good as the Yorkie have here for these precious babies. I also get a lot better "reports" on house breaking and training for these puppies then I get on the Yorkie puppies. Yorkie owners know what I mean. My precious Butterfly whom I LOVE dearly - we are still working on with the house breaking. At least she seems to have decided on one rug to use instead of my whole house now that she is almost 3 years old! My husband had just had to learn to live with my "little green machine" ready to use to clean up after her. She only goes outside with me every few hours - so what can I say. Unless someone wants me to go against my convictions, I prefer to respect another person by agreeing to disagree. I want to do my best to overlook the small things that can cause bickering - there is too little time in this world to let the small things keep us from good relationships / friendships. |

| ![]() ButterflyKisses, I'm sorry if you took offense to anything I said. I was just trying to be honest as to why I am suspicious of certain things. Especially when things are overly done, you'd understand if you saw some of these overdone, over the top websites that I do think try to hide behind something good, like bible qoutes. Just my two cents!

| ![]() DvishAngel985, Thanks for your note - I'm not offended. I have not seen those kind of sites, but it does sadden me when I see people who claim to be Christians do things that are wrong and hurtful to other people. I have some good friends who are leery of church due to these kind of people in some of the businesses in our community. I am assuming that these sites are much like these kinds of businessmen that give being a Christian a bad name. In every group of people, there are good and bad - not excluding those who claim to be Christians. I just ask that you don't throw out the good along with the bad. |

| ![]() I would like to admit up front that I read this post when it was first started, but just skimmed thru what has been added in the last couple of days (some of those posts where looonggg) BUT this same OP just put an update on here the other day wanting to report her vet to the BBB because she found another vet (at the humane society) to do the surgery cheaper.. ![]() Something about that combined with wanting to sue the breeder 4 years later just didn't sit well with me. No offense JMO

| ![]() There is an excellent vet in the breeder's home town that would have done the surgery on both legs for less than the price she paid for one. And she would still have enough left over for airfare. Too bad she didn't get back with the breeder. One thing about living here in fly over country, some of our vets aren't making Porsche payments.

| ![]() C C KENT, Are you speaking of Bruce H.? He would have been the first one I would have consulted for this little Yorkie. My daughter had a much loved dobie that was hit by a car and a very very expensive (but I've heard good) vet in Springfield said he would charge around $3000 to repair the 1 break that he found in the dobie's leg - but then Bruce checked him - found a 2nd break that the very expensive vet didn't find - and it cost me around $1200 for the total repair. He did an excellent job. They didn't ever really expect this dobie to use this leg well again, but after around a year, only if you knew about the injury would you notice anything different in his leg while watching him run. I am thankful for our vets!!!!!!! |

| ![]() The MSPCA hospital in Boston is Angell Animal Medical Center in Jamaica Plains!! I flew there from San Francisco to see Brooke's neurologist. He is a GME specialist and has saved her life!! It is an awesome hospital, you are lucky you live near it!!

| ![]() That statement made me furious. I had a poodle, who was AKC registered, he had many health problems! I dealt with them one at a time. After his death at the age of SIX years old - I did some research and found that he didn't come from a reputable breeder. I would give ANYTHING on this earth to have him back with me. So for someone to HAVE THEIR baby with them, and complain like that - I just had to speak my opinion. 2 years after his death, I got Smoky (my first Yorkie)- who has shown me just how "sickly" my poodle Jackson really was. I know it is frustrating, but that baby depends on you for EVERYthing! RIP Jackson - momma will always love you! ![]() |
