| How many dogs can I legally own in California?? I live in Los Angeles county and Im interested in getting another yorkie pup as a playmate for my Kandie (not to breed) but I live in a house with a roommate who already has two dogs. Is it true that you can only have 3 dogs per household?? I have searched online and cant find the answer. |

| I always believed it to be 3 but I am not positive. I know my parents have more cats than they are legally allowed, but never have had a problem, mainly because they are well taken care of, animal control doesn't come through here, and no one has complained to animal control. I don't think you would need to worry as long as you don't have an anal landlord, or neighbors that would complain.

| I'm in Stockton California and its 3 dogs per adult in the house I believe, but it depends on your county call them and ask.. Growing up my mom has always had more then she was suppose to and nothing ever happened. Especially with small house dogs people really don't mind them as long as they are clean and well taken care of..
