New here!!!! Need advise.... Hi: I have been reading this board for about 6 months, I don't have much time to post. After a few months of reading I decided that a Yorkie will be a great addition to our family. A co-worker, her Yorkie, had puppies and she was selling the puppies just to known people, not anyone. I was told that puppies will have their registration, since both parents are register yorkies ( I never asked which Club ) . When I got my girl ( Satsha Marie ) she told me that she haven't done the paper work yet for the registration, but she was going top start working on it. Now fast forward two months later after I got Satsha, I called her because I need to know the status of the registration and she told me that she never got to it and she would have to pay late pennalties fees etc. in another words that she was not going to do the registration at all. I'm upset about this because I got a dog which I pay lots of money and not registration. I was planning only breeding Sasha only once and get her spay. What I should do? Thanks CEEV

I would call her again and ask her to get you the proper paperwork or give you some of your money back since you bought and paid for a registered yorkie!!!!! She can't just sell you a registered dog and then not register it!!!

I was wondering if you could contact the AKA to make sure that this breeder is registered with them and in good standing. I know our papers were quite late arriving from the Canadian Kennel Ass. because they were recently in a backlog situation. Just wondering if this was the case with the AKA or does this breeder have no intention of submitting info for you to obtain required registration. I agree that if puppy was advertised as being registered and now cannot be for whatever reason then you should get a rebate of some of the money that you paid out to purchase your puppy.
