A lot of what is posted here is opinion...just because someone's opinion does not agree with yours...does not mean either are wrong...they're just different.

You weren't the only one that didn't like Marj's comments...."they aren't suppose to be anything." and "there's a sucker born every minute."

Then you are obviously not one of the "suckers" that she was talking about.

We all know that these guys are being sold as "rare" for outrageous prices to people who are uninformed as to what they even are. I think it's safe to say that not every breeder is honest and who knows what those who are selling these babies for $5000 or more are REALLY breeding to produce what they were selling. And there are people buying them because they don't know any better. THOSE are the "suckers" I believe that she was referring to. (The same as those who fork over thousands to get a "teacup" yorkie.) The same type "sucker" who would be fooled by a shady website. THOSE are the people she was referring to. (I think.) Unfortunately, the off-colored yorkies are not that common and a "new" concept...making them easier for dishonest breeders out to make a quick buck to market...thus fooling "suckers" (aka uninformed buyers.)

So let me get this right, if I bought from a breeder on YT that turned out to be horrible breeder but you guys gave good reviews on then I am the "Sucker". I have been doing a lot of reading on this YT site and there is one breeder that came to mind that people (YT members) raved about, then in the end she was considered a BYB, and videos to prove it. This really has become lets knock the people around for something that they like. I don't get this whole thread at all now. I guess this topic is hard to discuss with out hurting others feelings.

This really causes concern for me since I am considered one of the "sucker" buyers.

Interesting side note - the second breeder lists her parti sire's pedigree back to Nikkos CH Rolls Royce.

The most prolific line of Parti yorkies descend from CH Nikkos Rolls Royce Ashley.
I recently sold my first Parti Male who was all Nikkos breeding (at least 5 generations). He was by Nikkos Russian Roulette x Nikkos Magic in the Night. His breeders are listed as Starla Harris & Gloria Lipman.

It was the Nikkos lines (pups, parents ...) that were extensively DNA'd and as a result of everything DNAing correctly, AKC allowed the parti color to be registered.

At one time the breeder you speak of above...was a very respected breeder. Unfortunately the same can not be said TODAY.

Personally I bought a biewer...because I loved the coloring. I'd venture to guess....the looks are what the majority of people fall in love with. Owning a rare breed factored in ZERO in my decision to purchase one.

Yeah, I don't get this topic either anymore. I commented that I didn't interpret comments as insults... I never saw it proclaimed that "everyone who owns or obtains a parti yorkie is an uninformed sucker." But like with any breed, you have to do your research first to keep yourself from falling vicitm to the scams out there. I'm not proclaiming anyone here to be a "sucker"...I didn't make the comment, just explained my interpretation of it.

Now, as to why issues that aren't even remotely related to ANYTHING being brought up here are being discussed...you tell me what the point of that is, because I'm surely at a loss on that one.

Yes, this is a very touchy subject to discuss as there are many responsible parti owners out there like Tammy and JeanieK who are bearing the burden for what a bunch of scammers pull everyday. Sad, but true. Luckily for me, I have been able to talk with them about their viewpoints before now and understand and respect thier ideas and goals. Civil conversations DO happen here from time to time, and when they do, people actually learn from them.

Learn something new every day. So Nikkos shows up fairly often then? Just curious....I was just surprised to see the same name listed.

Btw, weren't you Lovie's breeder? I was a sucker for Lovie.

Yeah I look no further once I see "rare breed", maybe that is why I have never seen a parti until I saw Breezeaway's baby. And I have to say I LOVE the coloring also.

Yes, I'm Lovie's breeder, thank you! She is half sister to my little Remi (the cutie pie in my avitar with the green bow). Where Lovie had Nikkos on sire and dam side, Remi's Dad is Nikkos breeding and his mom is from an out cross parti line. YT member Rini Werner owns Remi's parti grandsire.
