We all know that these guys are being sold as "rare" for outrageous prices to people who are uninformed as to what they even are. I think it's safe to say that not every breeder is honest and who knows what those who are selling these babies for $5000 or more are REALLY breeding to produce what they were selling. And there are people buying them because they don't know any better. THOSE are the "suckers" I believe that she was referring to. (The same as those who fork over thousands to get a "teacup" yorkie.) The same type "sucker" who would be fooled by a shady website. THOSE are the people she was referring to. (I think.) Unfortunately, the off-colored yorkies are not that common and a "new" concept...making them easier for dishonest breeders out to make a quick buck to market...thus fooling "suckers" (aka uninformed buyers.) |
So let me get this right, if I bought from a breeder on YT that turned out to be horrible breeder but you guys gave good reviews on then I am the "Sucker". I have been doing a lot of reading on this YT site and there is one breeder that came to mind that people (YT members) raved about, then in the end she was considered a BYB, and videos to prove it. This really has become lets knock the people around for something that they like. I don't get this whole thread at all now. I guess this topic is hard to discuss with out hurting others feelings.
This really causes concern for me since I am considered one of the "sucker" buyers.
