| When I woke this morning, I woke to the sound of rain. Something we dearly needed. But because of Dolly, I was less than excited about it. So I ran outside and into the pen, a little too fast I guess. I had a towel with me thinking that it would feel cozy if I wrapped it around her. Due to the conditions I didn't give her enough time. I reached out with the towel and just as I touched her, she turned her head and snapped. Her teeth came in contact with my hand. Don't know if it was just a warning or if she just hasn't got enough teeth to do damage...it scared me, but didnt' hurt. So then I just sat on the wet pavement and let her walk around for a while. We sat there for a long time. I finally tried it again without the towel and she let me pick her up. And we had a wonderful little morning together. She lay in my lap for more than an hour and I gave her a waterless bath. She smells and looks much better today!!!

| What a great thing you are doing for Dolly. Sounds like she is coming along fine. Hope she has a fast recovery. |

| Took Dolly to the vet today. She let me carry her! She is doing so well. We have her inside now. She no longer runs from me. She spent part of the evening yesterday on the couch with the family. And today we went and had her stitches from her eye removed. She tested negative for Heartworm, got her shots and a clean bill of health for now. The vet checked her for breast tumors, all clear. We have an appointment for spay in two weeks (don't know if we will be able to keep it, the rescue is at a standstill till the next fundraiser) teeth will come when it can be afforded. But for the time being, she is doing wonderfully!!! Thanks for all your prayers.
